  • Minority Small Business Database campaign - The purpose is to develop a comprehensive database of minority business owners - women, African-American and Hispanic.

  • New in 2011 - Social media seminars at the New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School. Expect to hear from local professionals on how to use social media - the most important change in marketing in fifty years.

  • Launch New Orleans Entrepreneurship Center website - NewOrleansEC.comCapital One "Getting Down to Business" classes- This series of classes are designed to educate the small business owner of financial management, the importance of networking, and the importance of  business savings.  The classes are facilitated by Capital One business branch managers and experienced consultants. Twice monthly on Tuesdays at Xavier University from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

  • NxLevel Entrepreneurial Training Classes in Tri-Parish region - Entrepreneurial training for established business owners. NxLevel is renowned for quality education for entrepreneurs.  Attendance is limited to approved businesses only.  Contact the WBRC for more information.

  • Credit and Financial Management Classes with Money Management International- Conducted twice yearly (spring and fall) are providing information on establishing and repairing personal and business credit.  This is a three part two hour per session class which will be held at the University of Phoenix and the WBRC room.

  • Girl Power (see Calendar for monthly schedule) – An education and empowerment information session.  The seminars are conducted by female consultants with knowledge to specific industries relevant to small business. The locations may vary but the classes are held every 3rd Thursday monthly for the year.

  • How to Start and Operate Your Business (see Calendar for schedule) - An introductory session to educate aspiring entrepreneurs of the processes involved in operating a small business enterprise.  The sessions are facilitated by experienced business consultants and entrepreneurs. 1 day a week for 10 weeks.
